RCP Joint Repair in Culverts

Thul Specialty Contracting specializes in the repair of separated joints in reinforced concrete pipe (RCP) culverts.  The separated joints allow infiltration of surrounding soils, creating voids around the culvert pipe and under the roadway.  These voids continue to grow in size if not repaired and the culvert continues to separate until the road bed settles creating a depression, or the culvert could fail completely.

From inside of the culvert, the separated joint is cleaned and prepped, packed, grouted if necessary, and capped and the voids outside the culvert are filled.  Infiltration is stopped and the road bed above is stabilized.
